Multicard Ltd. was founded in 1989. At its own plant built in 1997 in accordance with the safety standards of Visa and Europay, Multicard has the capacity to produce 15 million plastic cards a year. The company possesses all external and internal security, access control and fire protection systems and equipment as well as the overall technology to produce the cards of the above international companies.

Multicard Ltd. has the authorization for the personalization of Europay cards since 1994 and for their production since 1997. Multicard received these licences from Visa in 1998.

The licences were granted on fulfillment of the most rigorous conditions. In addition to the safety of the building, Europay and Visa also examined Multicard's technical, production, inspection, storage and destruction equipment and processes. Special attention was paid to access control, accounting, storage and release control and the process of card destruction in a closed system. The above processes are checked by Visa and Europay on an annual basis.

Movement inside and outside the building is closely controlled and monitored which is assisted by a surveillance system with internal and external cameras, which keeps the entire building under observation.

Loading takes place in a loading area equipped with a double gate system; this ensures the conditions for the safe handing over of goods.

A quality management system developed in compliance with the ISO 9001 requirements has been operated by Multicard Ltd. since 2000.
